Nestled in the northeast corner of Selfridge Air National Guard (ANG) Base, north of Detroit and the City of Mount Clemens in Michigan, and adjacent to a former Cold War SAGE site, is one of the finest private military museums in the Midwest, the Selfridge Military Air Museum. Established in 1975 by the late Colonel Robert A. Stone, a member of the Michigan ANG since World War Two, the museum was established as an outreach effort of its parent organization, the Michigan Air Guard Historical Association (MAGHA). The Association is a private 501c (3) organization dedicated to the collection, preservation, and display of military artifacts and memorabilia of relevance to all past and present military units at Selfridge ANG Base and in the Michigan Air National Guard.
